		<description>Jo, that was an incredibly sad story. How can people ignore your instructions so completely and cruelly? It&#039;s particularly awful that they kept a blog for the new dog, but couldn&#039;t bother to pay attention to the heat issue.</description>

Be aware that the time it takes a dog or cat to go into heat stroke can vary greatly depending on the age, breed, and health of the dog/cat.

Dogs and cats can suffer heatstroke just as easily inside of a home as well as outdoors.

Unfortunately, a dog we were fostering passed away from heat stroke 4 days after his adoption - his story is here (his last 4 days were pieced together from a blog his new owners kept of his time with them):
