Animal Behavior Consultations

All of our initial consultations are conducted in your home. This allows us to assess your pet in his or her natural environment and makes it easy for the whole family to participate. During this 2.5 hour session we’ll perform a detailed interview to get a full and accurate picture of your pet’s behavior. Once we determine the cause of the problem(s), we’ll devise a treatment plan which takes into account your priorities, goals, and lifestyle. There’s no point in a treatment plan that doesn’t work for you!

In that first session we’ll get started implementing the treatment plan. We’ll show you the techniques and have you practice until you feel comfortable performing them on your own. We’ll also supply you with any necessary equipment to make the treatment work as quickly and effectively as possible. Before we go we’ll be sure to leave you with handouts explaining the problem your dog is having and the rationale behind the treatment. Within a few days of the consult you’ll receive a Treatment Report that documents what we covered in the session.

What comes next after the initial consultation depends upon the nature of the problem and your lifestyle and time constraints. The options are listed on the menu at the right.
